What are your risks for cardiovascular diseases?


Cardiovascular diseases including, hypertension and stokes is most important cause of death in Canada. As many as 66% of Canadians are at risk of developing a cardiovascular disease or getting a stroke. The good news is that this is mostly due to modifiable risk factors such as our sedentary lifestyle, poor nutrition and other bad habits. Want to know more? Take the test!

Although this test addresses several significant risk factors in the development of a cardiovascular disease, other factors may also play a role. For more information, please consult your physician.

Prior to completing this test, take a moment to assess your weight, as well as your Body Mass Index and your Hip-Waist Ratio.

Smoking

Physical activity


(Note: Moderate activities include brisk walking, cross-country skiing, biking, swimming, dancing, active gardening, etc.)

A) Regularly active - 30 to 60 minutes of moderate or vigorous physical activity a day.
B) Moderately active - 3 or 4 days each week of 30 to 60 minutes of moderate or vigorous physical activity.
